On Tuesday (Aug 28), I have got all my documents for my paper works done. I am doing an internship at HCC. My mentor is Ms. Carolyn Tan. My internship is about exploring (research and experiment) the virtual module on Second Life for creating cyber community for HCCS. In addition, I will work on Multimedia project from Ms. Carolyn. She also told me that I could come to her class (2D Animation II) as a part of mentoring. At night, I did scheming about Second Life (SL) web site.
On Wednesday (Aug 29), I went to HCC Main Office to give all my documents. They told me that I cannot work until they release my new I-2o. So, I have to wait for my new I-20. At evening, I attended to the class.
Aug 30 - Sept 5, I learned more about SL web site, what the requirements to install the SL software. I created an account and downloaded a SL software. I created an avatar as my character that will interact with other people in SL world. I learned how to use the avatar. I have had to finished the orientation questions from Orientation Island before I can move on to Help Island. From Help Island, I can ask questions and many other things to other people who know more about SL. After I finished everything form Help Island, I teleported into the "real world" in SL world. Once you teleported into the "real world", you cannot back into Help Island anymore. I explored more about the "SL real world" until midnight. Aso, I worked on my assignment that Ms. Carolyn gave it to the class.
Oh, I forgot, I have got my new I-20 on Tuesday, Sept 4. (Finally.....). So, I can work at HCC from that day.....
I went to the class on Wednesday, Sept 5 and got new assignments.
